Mid-Century Mayhem is a game concept I produced during my second year at university. The concept behind this game is a fusion of mid-century aesthetics and a distinctive hose pipe animation style, resulting in a visually engaging experience.
I set out to challenge myself by creating a 2D half-tone style while keeping the characters in 3D, and I'm very pleased with the outcome. The blend of these elements provides a unique and compelling visual narrative. Beneath the silly/whimsical facade of 'Mid-Century Mayhem' lies a slightly more meaningful narrative. It's a playful yet educational journey, designed to resonate with children and subtly teach them the dangers of fake news.
